Fy rhan yw'r Oen fu farw

(Yr Eiriolwr)
Fy rhan yw'r Oen fu farw
    ar ben Calfaria draw;
Caf fod yn un o'i gwmp'ni
    y dedwydd ddydd a ddaw;
  Mae 'nawr yn eiriol drosof
      o fewn i deyrnas ne',
  Gan ddadleu'i waed a'i glwyfau,
      bob mynyd, yn fy lle.

'Fe yw'm Cyfryngwr anwyl
    heddychodd fi â'r Tad,
Fy Archoffeiriad gwerthfawr
    aberthodd troso'i wa'd;
  Fy Mrenin yw a'm Proffwyd,
      fe'm dysg o awr i awr;
  Fy Mhriod cu a'm Cyfaill
      i drag'wyddoldeb mawr.

'Does pleser tan y nefoedd
    na hoffder yn y byd,
Ond Iesu'r perl dymunol
    foddlona'm henaid drud;
  Mi ymddiriedaf yntho
      beth bynnag etto ddel,
  Fy mywyd yn ei glwyfau
      a guddiwyd yn ddigel.

Trwy foroedd o gystuddiau
    fe'm harwain adre'n iach,
Dihangaf trwy'r Iorddonen
    i'm gwlad pen gronyn bach;
  Nid oes na phoen na gofid
      yn hyfryd dyernas Dduw,
  Fy nef i drag'wyddoldeb
      fydd gwel'd fy Mhriod gwiw.

Ar fyrr caf rodio'r llwybr
    na ddeuaf byth yn ol,
Mi rof ffarwel drag'wyddol
    i'r holl forwynion ffol;
  Fe dderfydd son am bechod
      cystuddiau poen a braw,
  Gwyn fyd ga'i draw'r Iorddonen
      balmwydden yn fy llaw.

Fy rhan yw'r Oen fu farw
  Ar ben Calfaria draw;
Ar fyr fe'm dwg i'r bywyd
  Yn hyfryd yn ei law;
Mae'n awr yn eiriol droswyf
  O fewn i deyrnas ne',
Gan bledio'r gwaed dywalltwyd,
  Bob mynyd, yn fy lle.

Mae imi yno Ddyddiwr,
  Eiriolwr gyda'r Tad;
Trwy'r Archoffeiriad perffaith
  Daeth iachawdwriaeth rad:
Fy Mrenin yw a'm Proffwyd,
  Fe'm dysg o awr i awr;
Fy Mhriod cu a'm Cyfaill
  I dragwyddoldeb mawr.

(The Intercessor)
My portion is the Lamb who died
    on the summit of Calvary yonder;
I will get to be one of his company
    on the happy day to come;
  He is now interceding for me
      within the kingdom of heaven,
  Arguing his blood and his wounds,
      every minute, in my place.

He is my dear Mediator
    who reconciled me to the Father,
My precious High Priest
    who sacrificed for me his blood;
  My King he is and my Prophet,
      he teaches me from hour to hour;
  My dear Spouse and my Friend
      for a great eternity.

There is no pleasure under heaven
    or delight in the world,
But Jesus the desirable pearl
    who satisfies my precious soul;
  I will put my trust in him
      whatever is yet to come,
  My life in his wounds
      was hidden secretly.

Through seas of afflictions
    he will lead me home whole,
I shall escape through the Jordan
    to my land after a little while;
  There is neither pain nor grief
      in the delightful kingdom of God,
  My heaven for an eternity
      shall be to see my worthy Spouse.

Shortly I will get to walk the path
    from which I will never come back,
I will bid eternal farewell
    to all the foolish virgins;
  Mention shall vanish of sin,
      tribulations, pain and fear,
  Blessedly I will get beyond the Jordan
      a palm branch in my hand.

My portion is the Lamb who died
  On top of yonder Calvary;
Shortly he will bring me to the life
  Delightfully in his hand;
He is now interceding for me
  Within his kingdom of heaven,
While pleading the shed blood,
  Every minute, in my place.

There is for me there a comforter
  An intercessor with the Father;
Through the perfect High Priest
  Came free salvation:
My King he is and my Prophet,
  He will teach me from hour to hour;
My dear Spouse he is and my Friend
  For a great eternity.
